I purchased a home with a water softener that has a mechanical timer. I can't figure it out to save my life, is there an available manual? It looks like a Fleck from what I could learn through several searches.

Yes, You don't need to search it anymore for manual as there are many customer services available where you can ask any query they will surely help you to troubleshoot problems related to the water softener. You just need to call them.

Culligan medallist softener will not regenerate unless done manually, not sure how to set different locations. 1 set to present time, 2-2:00 am, 3-10, 4-10, 5-10, 6 is set to 71 degrees, 9 is set to U, 10 is set to E. Not sure is these settings should be changed or what they should be. I do not have a manual. Salt pebbles are not wet or going down.

How do you know it is not regenerating? When hard water occurs through system it may still be regenerating but not drawing brine or refilling the salt tank properly. First check to see if it is metering the gallons. Run water and check for the flashing icon. If it is not metering the gallons, the meter is bad, dirty (iron buildup) or the board is bad. Clean the eductor assembly on top of valve (under chrome plate) this may be plugged. Here is a link to the manual for your medallist softener.http://www.culligan.com/uploadedFiles/Service_and_Maintenance/Customer_Support/Owners_Guides/Water_Softener_Owner_Guides/Culligan%20Medallist%20Series%20Water%20Softeners%20fr%202007%20%28Rev%20B%29%2001020482.pdfRJ

Water Softener won't regenerate

Mmmm. I see they charge for a user manual! I am not familiar with this controller. Is there a manual overide - a large screwdriver slot on the frint of the main shaft? If so, you should try turning that (clockwise) to the next position and see if the moter will drive it from there. If not, then take it right through 360 degrees, one step at a time. If it does not work on the next cycle then you may have to replace the controller.
