Replacing Sanicompact toilet seat

Hi, I bought a Sanicompact off a builder not knowing that you they were sold with toilet seats included. He didn't include one and I didn't ask at the time. I've asked since, but he hasn't got back to me and don't think he ever is going to. I have looked and asked everywhere to find a toilet seat for the Sanicompact and would appreciate any help in tracking one down. I live in the UK, but would be willing to import one if that was the only solution.

Have to replace two new toilets seats, the seats move

I have both a Jacuzzi Era and Perfecta with a bidet appliance attached to the Perfecta and now the Era. The Jacuzzi Perfecta seat broke within a week because of the stress on the hinges from the bidet appliance. I purchased a better quality slow-close seat and there has been no further problems. I also purchased a slow-close seat for the new Era and so far it is fine. Our Perfecta can flush golf balls, the Era is a bit slower and have not really broken it in yet. Our plumbing contractor advised to always use a reinforced wax ring, not the "junk" that comes in the kit. These toilets have a glazed bowl that helps keep them clean. I believe the tank has to be as level as possible which affects the power of the flush. The Era is a classy looking toilet. The pics do not do it justice. If anyone needs a new Era toilet seat, I have mine listed on eBay, new in box. Hope this helps. Artemis

Toilet tank looses water over time

As long as there is no water leaking from the tank to bowl connection, you are OK. You would know if it was leaking here, because you would have water dripping out onto the floor. Verify that the water level in your tank is below the top of your new flush valve's overflow tube. If the water level comes to the top, it will overflow into the toilet bowl. This can be easily fixed with an adjustment to the fill valve. If the water is not overflowing into this tube, then the only way you can lose water is through the flapper. You said you changed the flush valve, which would have come with a new flapper attached to it, but maybe buy a new flapper and see what happens???

I have an Eljer 141 0220 toilet. The the tank leaks into the toilet and every so often the water runs to refill the tank. Initially, I replaced the flapper. That did not work. I then replaced the following: flush valve with a new flapper (2nd one) , tank to bowl gasket, and tank bolts. The toilet still leaked so I took it apart again and made sure the flush valve and all connections were tight. They were and there were no external leaks any where. Unfortunatley the tank still leaks slowly into the toilet bowl. Any suggestion on what my next step should be?? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I had one just like that where the overflow tube that the flapper connects to was cracked. It sounds like this is the only part you have not replaced. The flapper may not be seating onto the inlet either. If you replaced the flapper with a cheaper version of flapper, some new ones will even leak.

Hi. There are toilets designed to accept a round seat and there are other toilets designed to accept an elongated seat. The primary difference is that the round seat fits a round bowl and the elongated seat fits an elongated bowl.
