Glass front bathtub leaking, how to reseal?

There is a substance which resembles silicon which is known to me as leak-stop. It has lots of uses including guttering. https://www.amazon.fr/Rubson-Mastic-Anti-Fuites-280-Transparent/dp/B0092MENOG/ref=sr_1_141?ie=UTF8&qid=1492871172&sr=8-141&keywords=Rubson It is NOT silicon and has a distinct smell. It also repels water... I'm not sure where in the world you are but I'm sure a similar product can be found...

Our tub has a lip around the top of 3 sides. The tub was either set in a little crooked or the wall is crooked. The inside corner on the faucet end of the tub the concrete wallboard is recessed about 1/8 to 3/8 inch from the tub lip. On the inside corner of the other end the tub lip is recessed from the wall board. Is there any way we can install ceramic tile without dismantling the entire surround? Would it be best to go with a solid surround? If so, we need an idea about how to cover or trim the tub lip on the outside of the tub. Thank you for any advice you can give. Betty Ferrell

1 Cut the tip off the tube of caulk, and load the fresh tube into the caulking gun. Puncture the seal inside the tip of the tube using a nail, stiff wire or the special puncturing tool built onto many caulk guns. 2 Insert backer rod into large openings. These foam strips are available in sizes ranging from 3/8 inch to over 1 inch, and should be perfect for most bathroom filler needs. For larger holes, consider using a foam spray filler, but be careful as the foam expands a great deal and could overflow onto your work area if too much is used. 3 Caulk the joints as you normally would. For large cracks, don't force your caulking into the crevice, but simply form a bead over the crack. Use multiple beads and a caulking tool or piece of scrap lumber to shape the caulk and remove excess. 4 Allow the caulk to dry for 4 to 6 hours. Using the tip of your utility knife, check that the caulk adhered to all edges and formed a seal. For really large cracks, it may be necessary to repeat the process. 5 When caulking open cracks, place a bead along each edge of the crack. Allow the caulk to set for 5 minutes, and apply a third bead over the first two. Use the damp sponge to shape and remove excess caulk.

I need to know exactly how to adjust the toilet tank fill valve on a Hoov-R-Line 8121-1AS or get a link to a user manual. The toilet tank fills too high and it's constantly overflowing and I have no idea how to adjust the fill valve and I refuse to call a plumber.

Most of the HooverLine fill valve have an adjustment screw on the top of the valve. It only takes about a half turn to change the level. Hope this helps.

Go to RepairClinic.com, type in your model number, watch video on replacing pump. Yours is probably just clogged and you can remove blockage. Sorry no easy fix.

VOCAL FILLING american standard 6 ltr flush --when the last half of the tank is filling ,it becomes quite vocal , like a loud hum ! any ideas ?

What probably is happening is the valve in the fill tube is warped or worn. The easiest fix is to replace the fill valve with a new fluid master. This is where your noise is coming from.

My bathroom sink (only) water smells like sewer when you first fill a glass everytime. It goes away after the first glass. Not a drain problem it comes from the spigot.

Hi.The smell is caused by bacteria buildup inside water pipes and spigot. Bacteria release gases that can smell like sulphur (H2S).The gases will accumulate in proximity of one of the faucets, bacteria build up is not necessarily located near to the faucet. Gases simply travel through pipes and get released when you open the faucet. The gases that produce the smell are "washed up" after the first glass, for that reason you get the smell only at start.Bacteria that grow in pipes are usually not dangerous for human and pets health, but obviously it is better fixing the problem as soon as possible. As temporary solution, check the sink p-trap, then try leaving the faucet fully open for ten minutes, and see if this can reduce the problem. To fix things properly the plumbing must be fully sanitized.
