Feb 24, 2014 · replaced toilet fill valve complete,,, water filling real slow into toilet tank

Suggested Questions And Answer :

I have a Carlyle water saver toilet. The one that has two push buttons built into the toilet tank lid. It is a solid 1 piece toilet. My problem is every hour the toilet is flushing by itself. Had a plumber over and he can't find the problem because he can't "hear a leak". It is not going into the bowl except when it flushes every hr. The water level gradually over the hours drops close to 3" then the tank fills back up. So please tell me where is the water going and how can my "plumber fix this". I have shut this toilet off, I need to fix I live in a desert and wasting water is not an option.

Hello. Your lid has two buttons so you can do a half flush or a full flush. A water saving feature. Since the toilet is flushing by itself every hour or so, you must have a leaking flush valve. Replace the valve to solve that problem. Joe

After flushing the tank and bowl both refil properly. After about 20 minutes the water in the bowl has decreased about 1-2 inches. The tank is still full. Not sure what the cause and/or fix is

Vent pipe may need cleaning out, vent stops up your system has to get air to work so it will take it from where it can get it and the toilet maybe the easied place. You may have a vent pipe that may be partly blocked or clogged up. To check a vent pipe out you can have someone fill a sink or tub up to the flood level rim and plug the drain. Have them remove the stopper and watch the toliet you have had issues wit to see any water movement. Once you deteemine which one is the cause you can snake the vent pipe or run a water hose down the vent and turn it on to flush out the vent pipe. Hope this will help you out.

Toto toilet - inadequate flushing

If this has been the case since the toilet was in stalled the problem is probably with the venting of the plumbing lines. try switching the toilets and seeing if it still happens with the "good" toilet.

The toilet tank does not refill automatically once the lever is pushed and the water flushes out of the tank. In order to get the tank to fill with water again after the toilet is flushed, I have to take the lid off the tank and shake the tall blue fill valve to get the water to start flowing from the refill tube so the toilet is ready for the next flush. Hope you can help me. Thank you!

Just replace the whole assembly. It only costs 12-15 dollars. Water contains so many minerals that just clog up lines like cholesterol. Just be done with it. It is not worth the effort to try to clean all that out . Plastic is sometimes not very forgiving.

Cimmaron one piece elongated doesn't have enough water in BOWL.

Make a small mark with a pencil or marker that can be erased of were your water line is in your bowl. Pour some water from a bucket into the bowl SLOWLY and see if the water line rises or drops back down to your original mark. If it drop back to the original mark, then that is the way the toilet was made. You won't be able to do anything about it. If it rises and stays at a higher level, then you have a problem with the fill tube in the tank. You will need to call a Pro!

We have three Toto toilets. They are the low, one-piece types with elongated bowls, all the same model, but I can't remember the model #. Two of them work just fine ... the tanks fill to about 1/2 full and they flush with no problems. The 3rd one, which is the first one that we installed approximately 3 years ago, does not flush very well. The tank fills to only about 1/2 the amount of the others (approximately 1/4 full) anand therefore there is not much water or pressure to clear the bowl of toilet tissue. Is there a way to increase the water amount in the tank in order to get a longer flow to clear the bowl.

Yes, you just adjust the water level the the line in the tank on its liner. Instructions are here in text and video. It is very easy. Toto toilet adjust water level Google Search
