When refilling, valve shuts on and off every few seconds.

I'm concerned about this because of the force of the on off an the stress that this may be creating on the pipes. The on/off is really quite violent and pipes shake.

My Toto Carlyle water fill process does not shut off. The water tube from the Power Gravity anti siphon continues to run and does not shut off even though the tank is full. The flapper valve functions normally and water does not flow into the bowl. Thank you

The float valve seal is most likely not sealing. You will require a new fill valve and flaot assembly. Thanks

I have a Carlyle water saver toilet. The one that has two push buttons built into the toilet tank lid. It is a solid 1 piece toilet. My problem is every hour the toilet is flushing by itself. Had a plumber over and he can't find the problem because he can't "hear a leak". It is not going into the bowl except when it flushes every hr. The water level gradually over the hours drops close to 3" then the tank fills back up. So please tell me where is the water going and how can my "plumber fix this". I have shut this toilet off, I need to fix I live in a desert and wasting water is not an option.

Hello. Your lid has two buttons so you can do a half flush or a full flush. A water saving feature. Since the toilet is flushing by itself every hour or so, you must have a leaking flush valve. Replace the valve to solve that problem. Joe

My Toto keeps running

Yes, there is either a screw that can be turned lowering or raising the water level, usually found on top of the fill valve. Or there is a lever system that raises or lowers the float, thereby raising and lowering the water level. The first it typically found on fill valves with a float ball attatched by a metal rod to the top of the fill valve. The second are on the "fluidmaster" type fill valves. If you still cannot find the water level adjustment describe in detail or provide pictures of the type of fill valve you have and I will walk you through it.

My Toto Carlyle toilet with Gmax valve CONSTANTLY runs...It runs for about 3 mins, stops, then runs for 3 mins, stops, and on and on this goes!!!! I need step by step instructions on how to fix the problem. Can someone PLEASE help me?????????

Sounds like your losing water out of the tank. check to see if flapper in tank has good seal (The rubber device that fits over the whole at bottom of tank, its attached to the handle by a chain or plastic rod). Make a mark when the water shuts off to reflect the water level watch the level of water over the time you specified. If the waterline drops the you definitely have a faulty flapper. Replace with new flapper which can be purchased at most hardware stores and DIY stores like Lowe's, Menard's, Home Depote. I hope this has answered your question, please rate the answer given. Good Luck and have a great day. Jeff
