If you are going into drywall then a threaded drywall anchor like this Will be best. Yopu can buy them at any hardware store. They screw right into the drywall and then another typical screw goes through the mounting plate into this anchor. I recoment getting metal anchors as the plastic ones break easily. These hold MUCH better than the push in plastic anchors.

PRPH toilet paper holder. the fixture attached to the cabinet and supports the toilet paper holder has a broken post. The post goes into the toilet paper holder and supports it. During remodeling, I thought that I could remove the fixture from the cabinet by unscrewing - spinning the roll holder portion off the attached cabinet part. Instead the holder snapped off. I need a new base which is screwed into the cabinet.

Without more specific information or a product number difficult to assit; here is the website for the manufacturer where you can search for more information or find a parts supplier near you. http://www.robern.com/info/documentation.rbn Trust this is helpful.

How to remove the mounting flange from a circular, one-arm toilet paper holder, so it can be re-mounted? there is no set screw to release it-- the flange has two screw holes on either side of a center hole, and appears jammed into the back of finished brass circular barcket. this has to come apart to re-install it. any ideas of how to separate them?

You will need a vary small flat screw drive and at the bottom of the holder the is a small hole insert screw driver and un screw, it has a small screw that holds to the plate on the wall

I've purchased several wall mounting pieces from Moen with their built in black connection inserts. One is a towel bar. Another is a glass shelf and the third is a toilet paper holder. The towel bar brackets and the glass shelf brackets will be mounted on drywall. Wall anchors have been included. One set of wall anchors have blades to grip into the drywall while one set is without the blades. Since opening the boxes I'm not sure which set of mounts go with which pieces. The toilet paper holder is to be mounted onto our wooden vanity. I'm assuming the black mounting brackets will use standard screws to hold the brackets in place, but they were not included. The drywall anchors were the only items sent by Moen. It woukl be helpful to know what screw sizes are recommended. Do you have a video showing the installation of these Moen brackets. I do like the Moen bracket concept, but would like to visually see how they would be installed. I'm familiar with mounting towel bars and brackets that get tightened in place with an Allen wrench. I'm just not familiar with the new Moen mounting pieces and a video demo would be great to see. I really do not want to begin mounting the anchors only to find I've done them incorrectly and tear up my wall board. Can you help?

I need help with my American Standard High Power Flush toilet not flushing properly. The toilet is 3 yrs old, and used to have a very high power flush (15 golf balls!) The water level in the tank is lower, and the flush is weak, I have to hold the handle down to get the bowl to flush completely. I asked at Home Depot, where I bought the toilet, but no one in the plumbing dept seems to know much about these toilets. Is there some type of repair manual??

The holder has fallen off the wall. There appears to be two screws, one that fits into the back of the centre of the wall plate and a small one that fits into the side of the wall plate. I don't think anything is missing but I can't get it to stay on the wall. Can you help me,please? Alicia

Hello Alicia Most often the wall plate will screw to the wall and then there is a set screw (usually an allen key) to tighten the fixture onto the wall plate. If it is the wall plate that won't stay on the wall then your screw holes are probably stripped. An easy way to fix this is to fill the hole with a wood glue filler available at your local hardware store. Use toothpicks to jam the filler into the hole. You can also use white wood glue and jam glue and toothpicks into the hole. Let it dry overnight and the next day you will be able to screw the plate back onto the wall. If the fixture is falling off the wall plate then the set screw is not being tightened hard enough against the plate to hold it onto the wall. Good luck with the repair.

The set screw on the tissue holder and towel bar and robe hook will not tighten up to make them hold. Everytime I change the toilet paper both sides come loose from the bracket. I even bought a longer screw to try but didn't help.

I have the same problems you do and I was looking online on how to solve my problem. It seemed to me that there are no published solutions to this problem. Therefore, I thought I had to figure this out myself, and I have. Step one: put a full roll of toilet paper on the bar that retains it. Step two: use in any kind of marker preferably an auto punch inserted in the whole where the setscrew should be make sure however, the position you mark is visible after you remove the toilet paper retaining bar. Step 3:. drill a hole similar in size to the existing setscrew hole. Step four go to your local hardware store and buy a round head brass screw with an elastic stop not or a lock washer and nut to fit. Step five: install the roundhead brass screw retaining nut and washer if applicable or elastic stop not which I would recommend highly tightened. I do not think you will have that problem again. after installation toilet paper will retaining its position. I do not think that more than the simplest of tools is required to fix this would design and engineering mistake.Required tools: small drill, auto punch, or any other marking device, and screwdriver. Possibly their pliers. Before publishing the solution, I tried it for myself is now been in operation for three weeks. No failures as of this writing. Good luck. VJS

My toilet flushes inconsistenly. one time it goes complete another time it doesn't flush all the water. My toilet is over 30 years old, is it posssible that the flap that controls the water is broken and can it be fixed or do I need to buy a new toilet.

I have worked on these for many years. The flapper that's attached to the chain and handle, sometimes drops to soon before the tank gets to fill up enough to flush completely. If the flapper has not been changed for some time, it would be a good time now. I wouldn't change out the toilet unless it is cracked. This is a well made one, and I would want to keep it.
