When water level is above the handle on the wall it goes down

Hi! Just bought a Kholer normal bathtub-soak, when I fill the water and the water level is above the stain cover (on the tub wall, on which there is a handle to control the water go down or stay in tub), the water will leak from the gap of the cover (there is a gap on the rim of the cover), why there is gap on the cover? How to stop the water going down from the gap because the water in the tub is not high enough to soak the body.

Toilet not flushing completely

Prelude: My toilet had the same problem a few times. I managed to clean it out because the pipe is somehow connected to the downstairs drainage pipe in my house. What fixed the toilet clog was going to the source of the problem and pouring extremely powerful hair clog remover chemicals in it (I did have to open all the windows and get the pets as far away as possible and wear a mask). After the specified amount of time waiting, I went to go flush and it worked. **Answer**: I would recommend doing the same thing but only if everyone in the house is gone for 1 hour. Also I would air it out by leaving windows open, not first floor doors or windows though. It can be deadly if inhaled for extended periods of time. The more powerful the cleaner, the better the results but the deadlier it can be if inhaled. Try this. My second guess is that it may be the plug inside the toilet's tank. You should check to see if it is working properly. Try flushing with the lid off and watch the plug to see if it is working properly.

American Standard Elongated toilet bowl water level slowly drops

The tank holding the proper amount of water is a good sign. The inside of the stool is like the GOOSE NECK under you sink. It always holds water. This may sound like a bit of a hassle to do but if all 3 toilets are identical, here is what you can try if you are a bit handy. Go to the hardware store and purchase 4 toilet wax rings with a plastic flange and a few sets of toilet floor flange bolts(they are cheap and you can always return if not used, as It is better to have xtra parts on hand). Turn off the water supply to the "Mystery Toilet". Leave the tank and everything connected to the stool. Flush the toilet and remove all excess water from the tank and bowl. This can be done with a shop vac, sponge or towel. Disconnect the water supply to the tank. Remove the bolts holding the stool to the floor and carefully remove toilet. Scrap off all the old wax from the floor flange and bottom of stool. Now go and repeat this proceedure to one of the toilets that is working properly. In other words Switch the "Mystery Toilet" with a "Working Toilet" and see how they react. If the working toilet does it in the same bathroom and the "Mystery Toilet" does not do it in the other bathroom then you probably have a VENTING PROBLEM. If the "Mysery Toilet" Does it in the other bathroom then you most likely have a Defective Toilet. This Job is best done by 2 people, as it can sometimes be challenging to center the new wax ring on the toilet flange. Reconnect to the floor and reconnect water supply to the tanks. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN BOLTS to the floor flange as you may crack the toilet. All drain lines must be vented properly for water to flow. If you are curious check out drain venting on the internet. Also, sometimes a vent can become obstructed with debris, ice, bird nest, etc.. I would 1st check the vent on the roof visually and then have someone flush and listen. If you believe the vent is clear....Then do the toilet switch and go from there.....Hope this helps and Happy Holidays....Joe

I have a 2yr old Kohler K4634 toilet. After flushing the water level drops about 1 inch in the bowl after the bowl filled. This causes a lower level in the bowl than is recommended. The main issue

Check to see if waster continues to run into the bowl after the plunger has returned to stop water flowing. If it is a slow leak then replace the flush washer on the stopper plunger.

Kohler toilet not flushing completely

You have a partial clog, as if someone tried to flush paper towels or something that shouldn't have gone in the drain. Try plunging, first, then a toilet snake, or you may have to get a pro to pull the toilet off the floor and run a larger snake if it's further down...

Our Kohler K3402 suddenly stopped flushing. When you pull the handle and the flapper comes up, all that happens is the tank begins draining into the bowl and the bowl level rises, almost to the rim. The flapper also refuses to fall back down, and the water coming into the tank just streams past it. At first the bowl would barely drain, but now it is draining faster, but still not anywhere near a real flush. Does this sound like a flushing problem or a clog in the toilet? I tried snaking the toilet through the bowl but no real change.....

If there is a shower in the same bath is it also draining slowly? If so check that drain systems air vent, (on the roof). Find the pipe coming out of the roof nearest the bathroom with the problem and when a second person flushes the toilet you should be able to feel air moving in and out of the pipe with your hand covering the end. If not the vent could be blocked by leaves or animals etc., this vent has to be clear in order for water to drain properly.

Hot water faucet on an older kohler two handle bathtub faucet only goes on slightly. Will not completely go on and can't force it any farther.

Turn off the water supply to the sink. Now remove the handle on the hot. next remove the seat. When you remove that, you should have a rubber gasket on the bottom. You can take that to any home improvement store. Your seat has gone bad. They make kits for it.

The hot water doesn't flow (it used to but we haven't used it in a while). hot water is fine in the sink, but when you spin the single handle it goes great power through the cold water range, but as it moves into the hot water side it is as if you are turning it off, until it goes to nothing. As if no hot water is coming through that line. Got ideas? Was wondering if a small stone could be lodged in the hot water side of the valve? If so, how do I disassemble!
