Aqua Glass whirlpool, Indulgence collection, pump turns on and works briefly, then jets stop.

First of all, what you have is a WOW pump that has an E-switch for a control. There is a knob on the top lip of your tub that you turn a 1/4 turn to turn this pump on/off. There is a small circuit board inside the box on top of the motor. This is likely the source of your problem. Here is your biggest problem. That little circuit board is not made anymore. We have the e-switch but you will be better off changing out the pump (which you have to do anyway) with a new WOW pump with an air switch and change the switch on the top lip of the tub to an air button which will turn the pump on/off. We've had a whirlpool tub with jets for 2 years. About a year ago, the jets stopped working--i.e. you push the button and nothing. Whe have it hooked up to one of those cool water circulator things that continually heats the water as long as the jets are working but now that's useless too. The powerstrip running to the heater part underneath the tub is on so we know that it's good to go as soon as the jets are fixed. Any tips on how to diagnose/fix this?

Check behind the access door for a air tube that goes from motor switch to button if either side has come off you have to re attach it just cut off 1/4 inch of the tube before you do. that will make it fit tighter

Jetted bath tub has stopped working. Motor hums

I had this same problem on my tub, which uses a GE motor. I looked at the motor, and on one end (the end opposite where the water comes out) there is a hole in the middle. In that hole is the head of the shaft, which has a regular screw tip. Turning this turns the motor. I filled the tub, inserted a slotted regular screwdriver and turned it about 10 times clockwise, then 10 times counterclockwise. You should see the whole motor turn. Doing this loosened it up, and then it started. Once it started, all kinds or residue came out, which was probably why it had stopped working. I hadn't used it for a while. After getting it running I'm going to run some cleaning solution through it, and make sure I run it more often to prevent this in the future.I'm not a professional, just a guy trying to fix his own tub. So take my advise with that grain of salt.

I have a Royal Whirlpool bathtub. After I fill the tub with water, I push the button for the jets to start and the jets only work while i am pushing the button. The button is a air button. Feels like I am pushing air into the motor. As sonn as the button is depressed all the way the jets stop. It used to work fine and now just stopped working? any advice?

You have a bad neumatic switch. Or a small hole in the air line. Try pushing the button fast and hard to see if it will stay on. if so , it is a hole in the tube. if not it is your neumatic switch

I have a new Jacuzzi tub with a Rapid In-Line Heater. When I fill the tub the water the initial temp is 67 degrees. The heater only increases the temp to 71 degrees. What is wrong with the heater ,if anything. The heater comes on and seems to be working. When I feel the water coming out of the jets it is cold. The tub is being installed and I do not have hot water (Yet) to the tub.

The bath heater you have is not designed to HEAT water - they only Maintain what you start with. You need to start the bathtub with the hot water you want. It will only heat about 1-2 degrees an hour.

You have a bad motor - when a motor overheats there is a sensor inside the motor that will shut if down so as to not damage the windings and such. once your tub has cooled down for 10 mins or so it will turn back on. the fact that you can push the button multiple times just means that you are turning the air switch on the back of the motor on/off until you get to the point where the motor has cooled down and will turn back on. if you do not push the air button after the tub shuts down and you finish your bath then when the pump cools down it will come back on because the air switch in the motor is latching i.e. it is either on or off. Since you left it in the on position the motor will come back on once the motor has cooled down.

How can I unclog plumbing in whirlpool tub used to clean dogs?

Depending on how mechanically inclined you are, take apart the tub and clean everything out. No easy task, I know, but who want old dog hair floating around? That will be your best bet.

Can not get the jets to work

Most of the control buttons on a tub are not electrical. These buttons are connected to an air line that runs to the motor. Sometimes an aggressive button push can literally blow the air line right off of the bottom of the button. This problem is as easy to fix as it sounds. Find the loose air line and push it back onto the button. You will need to open up your access panel. Bring a flashlight.Be sure to check the connection at the motor too. Good luck
