I installed an inline jacuzzi heater DQ75000 to an existing tub. It is plugged into it's own GFI line which works. The light that indicates it's heating doesn't come on nor does it seem to be producing any heat. I switched it out with another unit but same result.

Hi,Two things to check...is there enough flow to trip the flow sensor in the heater...the heater will only work when there is flow sensed going through the line...it needs to be in the line diredtly off of the pump before any tee's...Also and this may sound stupid, but stranger things have happened...The heaters are directional and they need to be installed with the flow going the correct direction... have you tried taking it out and reversing it??? The flow may be going the wrong way...heatman101

Jacuzzi Hot Water Heating Capacity

Depending on how you heat the hot water, whether gas or electric, is a missing detail in your problem, but if it is electric then your problem is the size, being only 40 gal, and needing probably about that to fill the tub, will always lead to your current position. If the hot water heater is gas, the chances of it keeping up are slightly better, but again things like the temperature of the water leaving the tank, any mixing valves, etc. will effect the water temp at your tub.  Before raising any temps, make sure you follow local code, as not to scald yourself or others.

The heater is set at 32 degrees but only blows cold air the water bottle is at the right level and the fan runs

Sounds as if your Thermostat is faulty and remaining in the closed position, pop it out, boil a kettle of water drop it into the hot water and check if it is opening. If it does open then your problem most likely is a dirty heating system and it needs to be flushed.
