You need to remove the bar from the wall than the slider goes on the bar and than you reinstall the bar again

I've purchased several wall mounting pieces from Moen with their built in black connection inserts. One is a towel bar. Another is a glass shelf and the third is a toilet paper holder. The towel bar brackets and the glass shelf brackets will be mounted on drywall. Wall anchors have been included. One set of wall anchors have blades to grip into the drywall while one set is without the blades. Since opening the boxes I'm not sure which set of mounts go with which pieces. The toilet paper holder is to be mounted onto our wooden vanity. I'm assuming the black mounting brackets will use standard screws to hold the brackets in place, but they were not included. The drywall anchors were the only items sent by Moen. It woukl be helpful to know what screw sizes are recommended. Do you have a video showing the installation of these Moen brackets. I do like the Moen bracket concept, but would like to visually see how they would be installed. I'm familiar with mounting towel bars and brackets that get tightened in place with an Allen wrench. I'm just not familiar with the new Moen mounting pieces and a video demo would be great to see. I really do not want to begin mounting the anchors only to find I've done them incorrectly and tear up my wall board. Can you help?

I installed a new 17 series single handle with temperature control unit several monthsa ago during a complete shower rebuild. No that I am ready to fire up the water, I can't get the water from from shower head to stop flowing when I turn the handle. It doesn't matter if I turn the handle up (on), or down (off) the water just keeps righ on flofloing through the shower head. The cartirage is installed per the instruction ( the best I can tell) as it apperas to be pretty straight forward and hard to mess something up. Since this unit is totally new and never been used, could it acually be afaulty cartriage?

Remove handle and check temperature adjustment it maybe out. Remove handle and slide little adjustment gear out and move it a 1/4 turn and reinstall it to see if any difference occurs. If it is not set right you want be able to turn water off and possibly cartridge maybe be bad. With it being brand new and it should work out of the box take it back if no simple fixes will work. You want the best and not have to work on something you just bought anyway. Something may have been left off the cartridge maybe seat bad or o ring.

What type of hammer arrestor do I buy to fix banging pipes after installing a new Moen posi-temp cartridge?

Banging pipes are a result of improper piping support. If the piping is secured, the banging will stop. If your only option is to install chambers for water hammer, any will do. Their only purpose is to hold air.
