P2RAXYG-126L Pump I'd like to know about failure modes and likely replacement parts for this pump. The motor is turning and making pretty much the same noise it always has, but there's only a trickle of water coming out of the jets. I'm guessing the impeller failed somehow, but I'm not aware of any broken pieces being ejected. Is it likely that I can just buy a new impeller and replace it? I didn't want to take the entire pump apart because I'll have to empty the (wood) hot tub first and I don't want it to dry out.

You will need to pull the front cover off the pump housing in order to inspect the impeller. It is possible that it has failed and just needs to be replaced.

I have a kohler bath jet tub. When I push the button the motor tries to start and then trips the gfi breaker. Thought maybe it was the gfi breaker and replaced it. Wasn't it. I took out the gfi breaker and put in a regular twenty amp breaker just to test it. Pump runs great but you can hear the pump struggle to start. I figure the pump is gunked up a little, especially since there was a lot of brown small objects in water when pump was running. I put gfi breaker back in and tried pump again and it tripped the gfi again. I called kohler and they no longer make this pump. They recommended a repair shop but they want $500 to fix it. I've been looking online and new pumps only costs about $200. Is there any way I can find a pump that is similar and replace this pump with it? Also, It doesn't operate off a air button. The button is connected to what looks like a telephone wire with a jack. Pump has a spot for jack insertion too. Thanks

Did you try an electric motor rebuilder? $500 seems too high to repair a motor. Motors have either a capacitor or dual windings to get them started and it sounds like yours has failed. Get the numbers off the MOTOR and call a motor rebuilder in your area for pricing. Gary

I have just had the Sterling Plumbing Finesse Frameless Bypass shower doors installed in my new bathroom, model 5425-59S-G05. I do not like the clear doors and want to replace them with Lake Mist which is 5425-59S-G69. I want to buy the entire unit at Home Depot but only replace the doors - not the entire unit. Is this difficult? Do you have to remove the top track to get the doors out or do they just pop out and pop back in? Do I need an expert to do this or is it something simple? I don't want to have any issues but just want a different finish on the glass.

Home Depot will likely only sell the whole kit, not the individual doors off the floor. You may be able to special order just the doors through Home Depot or you may have to contact Sterling directly and order the doors through them. The doors hang on rollers from the top track and will come off simply by lifting them up off the track and out. Make sure to wear a good pair of rubber coated gloves as the doors can be quite slippery.

My sewage sump pump has died. It handles the basement toilet, sink and basement. I want to install a new one and would like to buy a good one. Can you suggest online or home center sources? Thanks. wstapp

Hi,I buy the Liberty pumps from my local HVACPlumbing Supply House. They work very well and hold up well...Click hereYou will want to size it according to head pressure needed and flow...but typically the LE40 or LE50 series will work for what you have there...There is also a distributor locater there, along with an 800 number to call them directly...You can also buy direct from an online store like thisheatman101

I had a water leak at the pump on my hot tub so I removed the motor and pump assy for repair. I removed and disassembled the wet end and determined I needed a new seal and impeller. Here's where the fun started. The tub is manufactured by Four Winds in Smyrna,TN. It's a 3 person tub with 28 jets built in 2004. The motor is a Sta Rite Dura Jet nameplate info is as follows Model K48P2A1 RPM 3450/1725 SP 60Hz 240 v Max load amps 12.0/3.7 A separate tag on the motor says HP 5.0-.50 A tag on the wet end says Model DJAYHB-9141 SN 1HO4C The Impeller # is 17400-0135(stamped on impeller) The motor is a 48 frame and the pump is a side discharge with 2" fittings in and out. The seal is probably 17400-0028S or 0027S. I can't find the impeller on line so I'm trying to replace the whole wet end. The problem is that all the wet ends I find for 5 HP are 56 frame. Help!! s or the

Here is your owners manual. You have the correct impeller part number and the seal is a standard replacement part. Please contact us thru www.arrowpools.net for a quote on the exact price and freight charges. Before freight, your parts would be about $20. I can not help you with a whole wet end at this time but the parts should be available within a few days time.

I had a spa installed that I bought at an auction. The spa is a Korral Steam Spa Model KC-8008. The book that came with this unit was poorly written. The jets on the tub part work fine. It is the TR002Y Steam Generator that is the problem. When initially hooked up directions on one set of papers said 220 GFI breaker and hookup required. Initially it did not work because the breaker was bad. The electrician came back out and replaced it. The red light on the panel in the tub came on. The water supply was on going to the tub. The panel was displaying 56 degrees and just shut off. My electrician really knew nothing about this spa so he suggested calling a spa specialist. The guy that came out knew nothing about my spa either. I got frustrated and started reading everything in the packet. I came across one sheet of paper that was labeled North American installation instructions. It stated that the unit was supposed to be wired for 110 not 220. I really can't hold the electrician responsible because the part that said 110 was on a separate piece of paper my husband neglected to give him. I located the information in the packet and talked to a company that sells the generator. They confirmed it is a 110 supply needed. The electrician feels bad because he followed the original instructions my husband gave him. The electrician wants me to find out if there is a fuse before he takes the generator apart. He said if there is a fuse he would be more than happy to replace it. He said he did not smell nothing that smelled burned and feels there may be a fuse that blew in the generator. He just doesn't want to take it apart to replace a fuse if there isn't one in there. He also said he would be more than happy to reinstall another steam generator, but we would have to buy it because my husband did not give him that piece of paper. He has never seen a spa like this before. He has hooked up plenty and never seen this type of spa. Our spa is a European spa and the book he was looking at specified a 220 ground fault breaker. The piece of paper I found that said American installation instructions said 110/30amp ground fault required for steam generator. I guess the TR002Y was placed in this unit here. I bought this at an auction. It was still in the crate. I have to make it work. So any knowledge on this generator would be an absolute plus.

Hello, please I want to get something clear. Do you want an instruction about a generator or about your Spa.Could you please summarize your question in a short sentence that would be more understandable. The question is too ambiguous.I hope to hear from you soon.Take care.

He didnt turn the water on and diddnt do anything up tight, when i put the water on it all leaked like a siv!!! so i tightend everything up and wired the units but one of the f,o,v was leaking so shut off the service valve and left the macorator live.got paid and advised them to get new f,o,v,which thay replyed (no will just close that toilet) so left and today got call sayin the toilet bowl is filling up with water. But before i left i flushed every toilet 6times with clean water and everything was fine. i cant understand why the bowl is fillin up? their wasnt a blockage wen i left so think thay been touching it and now blameing me. My Triton (Jade) electric shower has abruptly stopped supplying hot water. The pressure appears unchanged and altering the temperature control dial has no effect on the heat. Is it likely that, if needed, a replacement part such as a new heater can is false economy compared to buying a new unit. If a 9.5W unit is bought to replace this 8.5W shower, does that create problems?

I have a Triton Ivory 111 shower, twice this week the water as just stopped flowing mid flow, presure ok and power still on what could be the trouble?? Stew.
